About
Eric and James had already made a couple bEDO films before i came upon the scene. James lived on the same dirt road as me, but a few miles away. The reason we made bedo films at Jame's house (always at Jame's in the beginning) is because Jame's parents had the video camera.

You will often see in bedo films (or hear) that the voices are out of sync with the characters. this is not a glitch, or bad editing (early bedo films had no editing) its because whoever is holding the camera is doing the voice of the character in the shot. Why? i don't really know, but its funny when the actor has no control over what you are making them say, it was also funny watching someone trying to act out a part, while simultaneously hearing their lines for the first time. The scripts are nonexistent, all the dialogue was created on the spot, all content originated form a basic "idea" that took about 1 minute to come up with. From there the movies kind of took their own path to an unknown ending, even as we filmed. The major factor was time constraints, we would meet on a saturday, think of something, make props, act it out, stop to have Jamie's mom make us hotdogs and hamburgers on the grill, and finnish the movie in time to watch it in the same day so we could laugh for about 5 minutes. Back in the early 1990s, there was no such thing as streaming web movies, or "tube" type media. We were bored, and the only way to fix that was to make our own movies, with whatever we wanted in them. If we wanted a paraplegic ninja, we made a movie about one. If we wanted to see a hot pink inflatable raft killing people in a corn field, we made it happen. If someone else thought the movie sucked, it didnt really matter, because they weren't us.

In retrospect bedofilms were never meant entertain anyone but ourselves, they are kind of selfish in that way, and alot of the content is full of obscure references and bizarre subject matter. I've found some people have had no problem with accepting how chaotic and raw the movies are, others who require guidelines and safety nets in their media can become filled with confusion, frustration, and as Eric has recently pointed out to me by comments left by web-viewers, "really mad" at the movies. I hope as a viewer you are someone who enjoys the movies, but, if you're a frustrated hater, then lolumad?
